Anchorage · Through October 31

A directly measured VO2max.

Measured on a treadmill while the work gets harder until you're finished — the most oxygen your body can take in and use. One of two ways to do it below.

Choose how many points

One measurement, or two.

One gives you a directly measured number. Two gives you a difference you can compute — the same test, about twelve weeks apart, under comparable conditions.

What you get

  • In the roomForty minutes. About half is preparing you and running the measurement. The other half is sitting with the result until it makes sense.
  • How it runsOn a treadmill, with a mask, while the work gets harder until you're finished.
  • If you take twoMeasured the same way both times — same equipment, same protocol, comparable conditions. That's what makes the two numbers worth putting side by side.
  • In betweenAbout twelve weeks. It's the interval we recommend, and it assumes twelve weeks of something actually being different.

The comparison

Take one measurement. Repeat the same measurement about 12 weeks later. Compare the two points.

The comparison tells you whether that measured value is different at Point Two; it does not, by itself, tell you what caused the difference.

  • To be used by one person. Both points are yours. They don't split between two people and they don't transfer.
  • No expiry on Point Two. Twelve weeks is the recommendation, not a deadline you can lose.
  • This is the season's price. After October 31 both measurements are still here — at the standing rate.

Twelve weeks is our recommended interval between two measurements. It is not a guarantee that any individual will show a measurable change in that time. Nothing on this page is medical advice or a diagnosis.
